SFC

Enabling the future
of wastewater treatment

SFC Environmental Technologies was established with the vision of enhancing the quality of treatment of municipal sewage and setting new benchmarks in wastewater treatment in India. From the outset, we introduced advanced technologies tailored to local conditions, improved operational efficiency and outlet quality of sewage treatment plants. We remain committed to addressing the most challenging problems in wastewater treatment. Today, we are moving beyond treatment to enable the recycle and reuse of wastewater—helping ease the water crisis and creating new, sustainable sources of water.

Reuse is no longer optional

The government prioritizes water use for drinking, then agriculture, and lastly industries. This signals a push for industries to shift from freshwater to recycled wastewater. NITI Aayog called it “the worst water crisis in India’s history,” prompting urgent policy changes.

State regulations (e.g. in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Haryana) now mandate reuse in industrial zones.
The Water Neutrality Framework (2023) encourages industries to recycle, recharge, and offset.
Projects under PPP models are expanding, including in cities like Nagpur and Chennai, where treated sewage is reused for power plants and industrial cooling.
Life at SFC

Turning plants into Technology-Driven ecosystems

While policies provide the push, technology enables the shift. The real barrier for most plants are not intent—but technical capability. SFC is a wastewater technology company at its core—dedicated to developing and delivering advanced treatment systems that empower industries and municipalities to achieve their sustainability and compliance goals. SFC powers the performance of wastewater treatment plants. From biological and membrane technologies to integrated automation and engineering, we provide the core systems that make treatment and reuse seamless, efficient, and future-ready.

Making STPs
smart, efficient and circular

Each SFC system is delivered as an advanced, end-to-end technology package - including design and engineering, in-house manufacturing, key equipment supply, erection and commissioning, and process performance guarantees. With automation seamlessly integrated, our solutions are simple, flexible, cost-effective, and built for reliable long-term operations.

C-Tech

C-Tech is SFC’s flagship sequencing batch reactor Technology(SBR) with over 80% market share in India. It is a single-step biological process combining aeration, clarification, nitrification, de-nitrification, bio-P removal with bacterial Selector & sludge digestion in one basin. Fully automated and energy-efficient, C-Tech delivers reliable performance while meeting the most stringent discharge norms — a proven, scalable solution for municipal wastewater treatment.

FDF

The Fiber Disc Filter (FDF) is a versatile industrial filtration technology that uses fibrous disc media to efficiently remove suspended solids and contaminants from wastewater and industrial process water. Its compact, modular design ensures high filtration efficiency, scalability across different flow rates, and minimal maintenance. This makes FDF a cost-effective solution, particularly suited for water treatment and reuse applications.

CCRO

CCRO is a next-generation reverse osmosis system that utilizes recirculation and batch concentration to achieve higher recovery rates and lower fouling. In wastewater recycle and reuse treatment, RO is often the final step after filtration and UF to remove dissolved salts, heavy metals, and micropollutants.
